In 2008 I opened Luxe Dog Grooming and Training in White Rock BC. In 2012 I obtained my Professional Dog Trainer Certification and in 2013 I quit the corporate world and went on to obtain my Professional Dog Groomer Certification in 2014 after which time I started working with my staff at Luxe Dog Grooming and Training.
In the summer of 2021 I sold Luxe Dog and moved to beautiful Vancouver Island, specifically the Westshore. I am very excited to be offering grooming services to this wonderful community!

At The Wholesome Hound we work with dogs of many ages and breeds. We promote a calm, stress free environment at all times. To the best of our ability we attempt to work on an in/out policy. This means your pet is only with us for as long as it takes to perform the groom. Generally a small to medium sized dog is out in 1 to 2 hours. This reduces the stress that many dogs feel when visiting the groomer. Because of the high demand for this service we will book up quickly so contact us now!
During these unprecedented times we ask that you pick up your pup within 15 minutes of our phone call to ensure we remain within Covid restriction guidelines regarding store capacity.

The Nagayu CO² Spa Treatment originated in Japan. It contains carbon dioxide, hydrogen and bicarbonate and has been an effective medical and hair treatment on humans for years. This skin and hair therapy treatment is available at The Wholesome Hound for your beloved four legged companion!
This system helps dogs with skin problems such as itchiness, hot spots, yeast build up, flea and tick bites, warts, "gunky" ears, odor, dandruff, dry skin and more! The Spa treatment also encourages hair growth and leaves the coat and skin noticeably cleaner, healthier and odor free. Obvious improvement may be seen after 1 to 2 treatments.
The shower heads design dissolves the CO² tablet into the rinse which breaks the shampoo up faster, and gets the treatment right down into the clogged pores to remove built up mineral waste.
Dogs of all ages love the feel of the gentle massage of the Nagayu Spa Treatment.

We have partnered with Lynn of Dog Gone Beautiful Smiles.
Lynn is veterinarian certified in this highly specialized field and has 7 years experience teeth cleaning. She has been working with dogs for the past 17 years. Lynn comes highly recommended and has many happy, satisfied customers. Lynn partnered with us at Luxe Dog and will now be doing the same at The Wholesome Hound!
