At The Wholesome Hound I work with dogs of many ages and breeds. I promote a calm, stress free environment at all times. To the best of my ability I attempt to work on an in/out policy. This means your pet is only with me for as long as it takes to perform the groom. Generally a small to medium sized dog is out in 1.5 to 2 hours. This reduces the stress that many dogs feel when visiting the groomer. Because of the high demand for this service, I am typically booking 4-6 weeks in advance. With that in mind, please make a note of your appointment day and time as I do not make reminder calls. If you miss your appointment you will experience a lengthy delay to reschedule as well as a Missed Appointment Fee.
Due to my in/out, one dog at a time policy, I ask that you please arrive within 15 minutes of my phone call letting you know your fur kid is ready for pick up.
Previous clients who are wanting a groomer in the Colwood, Langford area, I am happy to have a chat!!
I am at capacity for grooming dogs with special needs (severe high anxiety, excessive nervousness, aggression and grooming issues such as biting) so am not able to accept new clients with these types of issues. Sorry for any inconvenience.

At The Wholesome Hound I understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment and that occasionally emergencies occur that are out of your control. If you are unable to keep your appointment, I ask that you please call (778-433-3647) or email (wholesomehound2021@gmail.com) with at least 48 hours notice.
Effective January 1, 2023 existing clients who miss their appointment or cancel/reschedule an appointment without a minimum of 48 hours notice will be charged a Missed Appointment fee ( 50% of the grooming fee) per pet. The fee will be charged and payable at the time of the next grooming visit.
Any existing client who misses their appointment or cancels/reschedules and has not contacted me with at least 48 hours notice a second time will be charged the full grooming fee per pet, payable at the time of the next grooming visit.
If a third Missed Appointment or cancellation/reschedule without 48 hours notice should occur our relationship will be terminated.
Should a new customer fail to show for their first appointment they will have to pre-pay for their next
appointment along with a 50% Missed Appointment fee at the time of rescheduling.
I generally do not call or text with reminders of your appointment so please ensure you make a note of it at the time of booking. If it is imperative you receive a reminder please let me know and I will make a note of it on your file. I will call you the day before your scheduled appointment.
Due to my one in/one out policy I request that you please pick up your pet within 15 minutes of my call advising they are ready.
